Sermon's about God's Love and Forgiveness -- (Mel Bond)

Here are some good sermons (by Mel Bond) about forsaking sin; receiving God's love; reasons why we should forgive and make the choice to love others even if they have wronged us; and how abiding in God's love and God's Word is a refuge filled with blessings and supernatural protection. Mel Bond is the pastor of Agape Church in Wentzville, Missouri. He broadcasts his sermons on various TV channels. Check out his website here. Below are some encouraging sermons.

Note: I don't agree with everything Mel Bond teaches about some scripture passages and his interpretations of them, but he has a lot of encouraging truth to share from God's Word. Just be a Berean (Acts 17:10-11) and see if what he is saying agrees with the Scripture and the context. Bible Hub (.com) has a number of Concordances to look up Greek and Hebrew words (just by clicking on links).

Here is a link to Mel Bond's free book (in PDF) titled Releasing God's Anointing. You can also find this link on Mel Bond's official website here.

Disclaimer: I don't necessary endorse all that he believes or teaches. We need to be Bereans (Acts 17:10-11) and see if what someone is saying agrees with the Scripture and the context. Mel Bond doesn't always quote in verbatim, so you can use this website (in KJV) to look up the verse references. He also gives his interpretation of scripture verses which are not always accurate. But much of what he says is good.

➽ Healing the Orphaned Spirit - Leif Hetland
(Running Time: 22:43)

This is a very helpful video. Now, I don't agree with everything Leif Hetland teaches, but I do agree with a lot of what he says. We need to know God as our Abba Father and know that we are His adopted sons and daughters. That is important for living a victorious, Christian life and for receiving Abba God's love and giving it to those we are around.

I also know that Bethel Church (where he was a guest speaker) has opened themselves up to deception and false spirits (but not everyone in Bethel Church is like that). So, we need to be Bereans and search the scriptures. We need to use the Bible, look to God, and have spiritual discernment when listening to anyone give a teaching or a message. But, what Leif Hetland is saying about the orphaned spirit and about Abba God's healing is Biblical and true. May this video bless you.

This is a very good video. Now, I don't agree with everything Leif Hetland teaches in all his videos, but I do agree with a lot of what he says. We need to know God as our Abba Father and know that we are His adopted sons and daughters. That is important for living a victorious, Christian life and for receiving Abba God's love and giving it to those we are around.

[Being Bereans]

But, we need to be Bereans and search the scriptures when we hear anyone teach on a topic or tells us something. We need to use the Bible, look to God, and have spiritual discernment when listening to anyone give a teaching or a message. But, what Leif Hetland is saying about the orphaned spirit and about Abba God's healing is Biblical and true. ➽ Your New Identity - Part 1 (Dan Mohler) Audio Only

We need to know our identity in Christ to live in the fullness of who God made us to be in Christ, and to have deep fellowship with Abba Father God, and to have God's love flow through us to others. [We are joint-heirs with Christ (if we are born-again). See Romans 8:14-17.]

Here are some notes on this talk:

- What is the image of God? It is love. (See 1 John 4:16).

- What is sin consciousness [and fear]? It is protecting the self, performing for love, justifying the self, trusting in the self, fear, and being self-focused.

- We need to die to the self so that we can live unto God. This is about fellowship with God and it is how we can have fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11 and John 15:7-12) and be all that God desires us to be, and so that we can enjoy God to the greatest potential, and truly be a blessing to others.

- There is no love in being selfish (self-focused), and there is no selfishness in love.

- 1 Timothy 1:5. Agape love (charity) is what it is all about. Receive it from God so that you can enjoy closeness with Him, and so that you can share God's love with others. That is what we were created for.

- Since we Christians are born-again, we are a new creation in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 5:17-18).

- We could ask God something like this:

"Dear Abba Father God,

I ask that you would give me anything that your grace has accomplished by Jesus Christ's sacrifice at Calvary, and conform my nature to that. I ask this so that I may be one with your nature, meaning that I share your love, your compassion, your forgiveness, and your feelings. I pray this in Jesus Christ's Name, Amen."

- We have the favor of God because God said so in the Bible (Numbers 6:22-27).

Numbers 6:22-27

"[22.] And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

23. Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,

24. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:

25. The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

26. The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

27. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them."

(See also Deuteronomy 33:3)

⏭- God forgives us, loves us, and has mercy on us so that we can have God's type of forgiveness, love, and mercy on others. Unforgiveness stops God's flow of grace and transforming power, which He desires to transform the whole world with.

[We need to die to self and believe and speak the truth from God's Word about who we are in Christ Jesus. That is how we will know our identity in Christ. And, that is how we will have victory over the devil. The truth will make us free. See John 8:31-32 and Revelation 12:11.]

John 8:31-32 says:

"[31] Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Revelation 12:11 says: "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

⏭- Sin is not who we are. We are a new creation in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 5:17-18).

[James 4:7 says: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."]

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21

"[17.] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Dan Mohler - Becoming Love

__________________________________________________________

Dan Mohler – I am loved by God
(This is very important truth to hold onto.)
[NOTES on Dan Mohler's Sermon]

Don’t let the world or the ways of the old nature take you captive or spoil you. Don’t let the philosophy of men, the vain deceit, the tradition of men, or the rudiments of the world be what you live by. This is the carnal mind. It is harmful. See Colossians 2:6-8 and Romans 8.

Colossians 2:6-8

“[6] As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: [7] Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

[8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. [9] For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:”

We are not to have fellowship with the thinking and reasoning of the world and its ways.

2 Corinthians 6:14-15

“[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”

God desires us to have fellowship with us, and He will fulfill us. People and things cannot fulfill us. We are created to have intimate fellowship (emotional and spiritual) with God.

We are complete in Jesus Christ. We are complete (pléroó) (πληρόω) in Jesus. Pléroó means to “accomplish, complete, fulfill”. He fills us up and satisfies us with Himself.

Jesus Christ is our Savior (sótér) (σωτῆρι). According to Strong’s Concordance, sótér is “From sozo; a deliverer, i.e. God or Christ -- saviour.” Sozo is: “From a primary sos (contraction for obsolete saos, "safe"); to save, i.e. Deliver or protect (literally or figuratively) -- heal, preserve, save ..., be (make) whole.” (Strong’s Concordance).

Jesus Christ our Savior delivers us, protects us, saves us, heals us, preserves us, and makes us whole. Just ask Him and He will. Jesus didn’t just come to save us to bring us to Heaven. But, Jesus brought Heaven to us in Himself.

A Christian’s identity is not what people say or think about him or her. A Christian’s identity is what God the Father says about him or her. God says what He thinks about us in the Bible and as we seek Him.

Abba God loves us and values us as much as He does Jesus Christ, who is His beloved Son (John 17:23 and Matthew 3:17). Since Jesus Christ is just as valuable to God as we are, God says to any Christian, “This is My beloved son or daughter.”

Jesus said to God the Father (what He knows about the Father) how God the Father loves each person He created as He loves Jesus.

John 17:22-23

“[22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

Matthew 3:17

“[17] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

As we receive God’s love for us by faith (not a feeling but a choice), we will be filled with God’s love and fullness. We believe God by faith, and then we will feel God’s love.

2 Corinthins 5:7 – “[7] (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”.

Ephesians 3:19 says: “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

Note: What Dan Mohler said about witnessing to people has some truth in it, but we do need to warn people about Hell. God has given many people dreams and visions about Hell and that it is eternal suffering. He wants to warn people so that they will not think that Hell is "not that bad," and so that they will not flippantly reject God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. If they reject Jesus, there is no way they can enter Heaven, for Heaven is holy. (See Revelation 21:7-8.)
