Simon Peter's Three (3) Denials of Christ and Peter's Three Boastful Statements in the Gospel Accounts

Peter's Three (3) Denials of Christ and Three Boastful Statements in the Gospel Accounts
________________________________

Why the Accounts in Luke, John, Matthew, and Mark Differ
on What Jesus and Peter Said When Peter Proclaimed His Loyalty to Christ

When Simon Peter proclaimed his loyalty to Jesus just before Jesus Christ’s unjust trial, Peter actually proclaimed his loyalty three different times. Twice, he proclaimed his loyalty to Jesus prior to Jesus and His disciples leaving to go to the Mount of Olives (in John and Luke’s Gospel accounts).

After they had left to go to the mount, Peter again proclaimed his loyalty to Christ (in Matthew and Mark’s Gospel accounts). The accounts in Matthew and Mark are nearly identical and happen after Jesus and His disciples go to the Mount of Olives. And, the accounts in Luke and John take place prior to Jesus Christ and His disciples going to the Mount of Olives.

Lord of the Rings Is Antichrist and Portrays Witchcraft

Lord of the Rings Is Occultic and Anti-Christ

The Lord of the Rings was the sequel to J.R.R. Tolkien’s 1937 novel, The Hobbit. This book series took shape in Tolkien’s mind in the late 1930s. One day as Tolkien was grading papers, he found a blank sheet of paper and a sentence came to his mind: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit” (See "Who was Tolkien?" in Works Cited). He wrote it down and began to ponder what a hobbit was and what kind of hole it lived in. From that day forward, J.R.R. Tolkien began a story that would become very popular all around the world.

NOTES on ISAIAH 55:1-4 (The cry of Jesus in John 7 and Isaiah 55. Living Water that Satisfies the Soul)

NOTES on ISAIAH 55:1-4

(The cry of Jesus in Isaiah 55.

Living Water that Satisfies the Soul)

Isaiah 55:1-4

“[1] Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money ; come ye, buy, and eat ; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

[2] Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread ? and your labor for that which satisfieth not ? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

[3] Incline your ear, and come unto me : hear, and your soul shall live ; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

[4] Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.” [End quote]

Some Notes on the above passage from Isaiah 55

➽ Verse 1 notes. Come to Jesus who gives the water of life freely. There is no price for His gift of the Holy Spirit, Who meets all our needs, both Spiritual and otherwise.

➽ Verse 2 notes. Why do people look to things which do not satisfy their souls and spirits? We need to diligently listen to and heed what Abba Father God says in His Word and to our spirits. Let us eat of what God gives us so that we will be filled with God and His goodness. In doing so, we will be satisfied. His goodness is an abundance. Let us delight (take great pleasure) in God’s Spirit, Who is abundant and life-giving. (Note: Fatness is abundance, in the King James Bible.) In John 7:37-39, Jesus said:

[John 7:37-39]

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive : for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”

Jesus also said this in response to the Samaritan woman:

[John 4:10]

“[10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink ; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”

So, this is a gift. Abba Father God’s favor, and His Holy Spirit’s life-giving, satisfying Presence, and His blessings to us are not earned. They are a gift received by simply trusting in Jesus. In John 4:13-14, Jesus said this:

“[13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again : [14] but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst ; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

➽ Verse 3 notes. Don’t look to people or things for getting your needs met. Come to Jesus and listen to Him and His Word. Your soul shall not be dead but shall be alive, and full, and joyful, and satisfied. God has made an everlasting covenant with all who trust in the Name of Jesus Christ. That is the New Testament covenant. Abba Father God’s mercies are sure, and certain, and trustworthy. (They are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness.)

➽ Verse 4 notes. Jesus Christ is the faithful and true witness, and He is our Leader and King and Shepherd. Jesus will guard us, and protect us, and provide for us. (King David typified Jesus.) Psalm 121 speaks of the nature of Abba Father God, who is just like Jesus Christ, our Shepherd.

Psalm 121 says:

“[1] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. [3] He will not suffer thy foot to be moved : he that keepeth thee will not slumber. [4] Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. [5] The Lord is thy keeper : the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. [6] The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. [7] The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil : he shall preserve thy soul. [8] The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

(In John 14, Jesus Christ said, in essence, that when people see Him, they have seen Abba Father God manifesting in Jesus. Jesus is the express image of the Father, as Hebrews 1:3 says. Jesus perfectly represents the Father. And Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and God the Father are One God.)

Jesus, in John 14:7, said: “[7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also : and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

Jesus said this in John 14:10: “[10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me ? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself : but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”

Abba Father God told me these words (3-22-2019):

“My son, I am with you and I love you very much. I will show you that what I showed you in these verses was based on what I was showing you in John chapter 7, chapter 4, and elsewhere. I am the Living Water. I am the Bread of Life. I am the Water of Life. I give life to those who look to Me. I give joy, and fulfillment, and peace to all who look to Me. Rest in Me, look to Me, and you will do well. And, I love you very much. And, I the LORD your God and Abba Father have spoken.”

What the Bible Has to Say about Popular Entertainment

What the Bible Has to Say about Popular Entertainment
– Novels, Movies, TV Shows, Video Games

Numbers 33:51-52 – "[51] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan ; [52] then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places :"

Comment: God commanded the children of Israel to destroy all the graven images, and all the idols, and all the images of false gods depicted on walls. Today, in America, and around the world, movies, TV shows, and other videos display entertainment and steal time from God. Today, entertainment takes a huge amount of time out of people’s schedules. It is a god that people serve around the world.

Psalm 101:3 – "[3] I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes : I hate the work of them that turn aside ; it shall not cleave to me."

Comment: The psalmist declared that he would not look at anything beliyaal (i.e. evil, worthless, unprofitable, naughty, ungodly, or wicked). The Hebrew word, in this verse, for wicked is (Strong’s # 1100) beliyaal. It means: “… without profit, worthlessness; … wickedness … Belial, evil, naughty, ungodly …, wicked.” (From: Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance.) If what we are watching or viewing is beliyaal, we must turn it off and repent.

THE TRUTH ABOUT HELL THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW (an 11-page article with 9 brief sections)

THE TRUTH ABOUT HELL THAT THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW

(Read the PDF version here.)

1. Introduction
2. The Lake of Fire
3. The Bottomless Pit
4. The Suffering of Souls in Hell
5. Why Must Hell Exist
6. Worms in Hell
7. Fire in Hell and Tormentors
8. Why Hell Is Eternal
9. Conclusion

_________________________

1. Introduction

Hell is a real place that exists in a different dimension than the realm we experience on a day to day basis. It is a place filled with darkness, fire, terror, and endless torment. The Lord Jesus warned us about it quite frequently in the Gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. King David wrote about it in the Psalms. The apostle Paul wrote about it in his epistles to the New Testament Churches. God had prophets write about it in places such as the book of Ezekiel, chapters 31 and 32.

It is an abode of Satan’s demonic hordes and a place of extreme heat. JOB 28:5 says: “[5.] As for the earth, out of it cometh bread : and under it is turned up as it were fire.” [end quote].

The Holy Spirit, using the apostle Paul, wrote this truth in Galatians 6:7-8: "7. Be not deceived ; God is not mocked : for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption ; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." [end quote] Those who sow to the flesh will end up without life everlasting. They will only receive corruption in Hell.

But, those who sow to God’s Spirit will have life everlasting. Sowing means to walk according to. If we walk according to the flesh, and don’t turn to the loving and holy Abba God, we will reap corruption in Hell. But, if we walk according to Abba Father God’s Spirit, and repent from sin (forsake it) when we are convicted of it, we will be forgiven.

Fellowship and intimacy (close friendship and harmony) with Abba God is the key to overcome sin and to have meaning, purpose, and happiness in life. Sin is not fellowship with Abba God, but rebellion against Him. So, we must turn to Abba Father God, rest in what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, and obey what our loving Abba God is directing us to do.

If you have not made Jesus Christ your Savior and Lord, we urge you to do so now. Confess that you are a sinner, be willing to turn from sin (looking to God for help), and believe on the Name of the Only Begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ. Jesus is God the Son. Only Jesus Christ, by His blood that He shed on the cross, can save you from sin and can give you eternal life, healing, and cleansing from sin, and righteousness (completeness). Turn to Jesus today. You never know how long you may live. (Read more about salvation at this link: https://exploringchristianity1.blogspot.com/p/salvation-through-jesus-christ_10.html )

2. The Lake of Fire

There is a place in Hell called the Lake of Fire in the book of Revelation, chapter 20, verse 14. It is a place of eternal torment which will contain all the souls who do not have their names written down in the Lamb’s book of life, in Heaven.

The Marriage Supper Parable - A Cartoon Video with Music, Sound Effects, and Scripture - A Parable of Jesus from Matthew 22

The Marriage Supper Parable, a spiritual story told by the Lord Jesus Christ, was intended to show His audience the truth about the choices we make and their eternal consequences, either good or bad. The Lord Jesus revealed powerful truths that need to be held to firmly. This video combines sound effects, music, digitally-created images, and Scripture to present this parable and make it dramatic.

(A note on position 3:00...

Revelation 19:8 says: "[8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." (KJV)

The wedding garment symbolizes the righteousness a believer in Jesus has by trusting in Jesus Christ alone for his or her salvation and eternal life.)

Jonah and the "Whale" (or Jonah and the Big Fish) - Illustrated (PART 2)

Jonah and the "Whale" (or Jonah and the Big Fish) - Illustrated (PART 2)

(See the PDF file here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U_KgSKuhABiBXmy5vRgC_4ug5cg2583u/view?usp=sharing

This is the story of Jonah and the big fish, as told with cartoon pictures, sound effects, and hymn music. Jonah was called by God to warn the people of Nineveh that if they didn't repent from their sins, idolatry, and wickedness that God would have to judge them. God had already been calling out to them before He called Jonah to go. But, they were not listening to Him. So, God spoke to Jonah and told him to go to Nineveh to plead with the people to repent and to turn to the true and living God.

But, Jonah had a problem. He had a grudge against the Assyrian people. Nineveh was the capital of Assyria and it was his enemy. The Assyrians had oppressed the people of Israel, and Jonah wanted nothing to do with God's will to plead with them and warn them. So, Jonah decided he would do his own thing and go the very opposite direction. He was heading for Tarshish in what is now modern-day Spain. Back then, it was a Phoenician coastal city.

The ruins of Nineveh are located at modern-day Mosul, Iraq. In ancient times, Nineveh was densely populated and prosperous. But, Jonah didn't want to see God reach the hearts of Jonah's enemies, so he found a ship headed for Tarshish and got aboard. While they were sailing in the Mediterranean, a great storm arose and threatened the safety of the people aboard the cargo ship.

But, Jonah didn't care. He was fast asleep until someone awoke him. Watch the video to see what happened next.

Seven Points About Abba Father God That We Believers Need to Hold Onto

(A waterfall and a stream. Pixabay. Free images.)
Seven Points About Abba Father God That We Believers Need to Hold Onto

1. Abba Father God loves us with everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and He is the One who sent Jesus to the earth to pay for our sins (John 6:38-40).

2. God the Father suffered to see the torment Jesus went through for the sins of the human race and to see the suffering of mankind. (John 10:30).

3. Jesus is the Judge of the human race. (John 5:22-23).

4. We need to realize that God the Father is for us (He desires what is best for us), and deeply loves us, and cares for us very deeply, since we are His dear children. (John 16:17Psalm 103:13).

5. We also need to remember that Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit (together, the Trinity of God) dwell within the spiritual heart of everyone who has made Jesus Christ his (or her) Savior and Lord. (John 14:23).

6. If we love Jesus, we will obey Him. See John 14:23 and Romans 13:8-10.

7. If we don't love Jesus, we won't obey Him. See John 14:24.

________________________________________

There are some things we believers need to hold onto (and I know this very much).

(1.) One is that Abba Father God loves us with everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and He is the One who sent Jesus to the earth to pay for our sins (John 6:38-40). He is One God, as we Christians all know, (1 John 5:7 [KJV]) and He also suffered when Jesus died on the cross.
(Jesus turns water to wine. Click for source.)

Jeremiah 31:3

"[3] The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

In John 6:38-40 Jesus said:

"[38.] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."

1 John 5:7 [KJV] says: "[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Jesus, in John 10:30, said: "I and my Father are one."

The Difference Between the Old Testament and the New Testament Saints (Hypergrace Heresy) (Lukewarm Church) (Apostasy) (False Teachers)

The Difference Between the Old Testament and the New Testament Saints

Many people have wondered why the Old Testament Hebrews were often struck down with plagues and judgments of God while wondering through the wilderness near Mount Sinai.

The Old Testament people who rebelled against the Old Testament laws were destroyed in the wilderness of Sinai. They were destroyed because they were in the presence of God and were hardening themselves against God's teachings, which He gave to Moses. Their actions and words proved that their hearts were hardened against God and His ways.

The New Testament Completes the Old

The sacrificial laws, and the feast day laws, and the dietary laws, and other ceremonial laws were all fulfilled in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:4Galatians 3:1-8). We Christians have no need to fulfill them since Christ did that for us, nailing all the ordinances, which were written against us, on the cross (Colossians 2:6-17).

But, God does expect us to obey Him in the Ten Commandments, which are repeated throughout the New Testament, including in the epistles from Romans to Revelation (as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit). When we disobey Him, all we have to do is confess it to Abba Father God and repent. Asking Abba God to fulfill that unmet need is the next good thing to do

We have the promise of God Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7:11. Jesus said: "[11] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"

The danger is not believing God's Holy Word.

Mary Byrne's 1905 English Translation of "Be Thou My Vision" Can Be Our Prayer to God or Our Statement of Faith

(Scenic Ireland. Click for source.)
Mary Byrne's 1905 English Translation of "Be Thou My Vision"
Can Be Our Prayer to God or Our Statement of Faith

Mary Byrne's English translation (from 1905) of "Be Thou My Vision" is very powerful when you pray it to God. It was an old Irish song of worship from hundreds of years ago. We don't know who exactly wrote it. But, some think it could have been influenced by Patrick of Ireland, who God used to bring Christianity to that island nation.

Worshiping God with music is very powerful and moving. I was thinking that we could read the text of "Be Thou My Vision" but substitute "You are" in place of Be thou" to make it a statement of praise. Or, we can leave it as "Be thou" and use it as a prayer to God. Personally, I like both options.

Another way of looking at this is to use this old Irish hymn as both praise and prayer. We want God to be our vision, our focus, our delight. But, we can thank Him that He is our shelter and our Father, for instance.

(Also, we could change "King of the seven heavens" to "High King of Heaven".)

We have Mary Byrne's translation below.

John 5:2
"Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches."

According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, Bethesda is made from two Hebrew words: bayith (#1004 in Strong's Hebrew section) and checed (#2617 in Strong's Hebrew section).

Bayith means house.

Checed (kheh'-sed) is lovingkindness and many other things.

According to NAS Exhaustive Concordance, the Hebrew word checed (Strong’s #2617) includes lovingkindness, lovingkindnesses, unchanging love, devotion, favor, kindnesses, deeds of devotion, mercies, loyalty, and goodness in its definition. (Strong's Exhaustive Concordance includes pity as well.)

Chapter Twenty-Seven

PART 27: “Flying Menace / Medvedski"

________________________________________

“Flying Menace”

[Earlier:]

“You sure have strong faith in God’s power. I wish I had that faith,” Inga said from the shadows of the bush she was hiding under.

“You can have that faith,” Karl said, “by just simply making the choice to believe God over how you feel. And, you will see God work powerfully. Faith is really just a choice. It is not a feeling.”

Karl, Inga, Toben, Elise, and Abdul were in a forest in Norway seeking to escape the communistic authorities of the new authoritarian puppet government. They had just met a young, Muslim family who had fled from authorities since the man of the household, Musa, had stolen 150,000 rubles*. [* It is roughly $5,000 U.S. dollars. In the future, 30 rubles will be roughly equal to one dollar from 2017. That is what God showed this writer.]

“So, you’re saying that faith has nothing to do with having a feeling that you have faith?” Inga said.

(Forest at night. Click for source.)
Faith is a decision to trust God over how you feel,” Karl said without any hesitation.

A buzzing sound reached Karl’s ears and he looked up. Turning around, he noticed a dark object blotting out part of the early night sky. Stars were just starting to appear but the moon had not risen above the horizon yet. It was a large, armed, quad-rotor drone, and it was now approaching Karl and his friends with the certainty of having spotted its targets. It was in the air 280 yards away.

“Everyone, get down! A drone is coming!” Elise shouted from another bush a few yards away.

____  ____  ____

[Now:]

“There is no need to fear. God protected Daniel in the lions’ den. And, God protected us earlier from a drone,” Karl said as he stooped to pick up a round rock on the ground.

“You’re right, Karl. The bullets it fired at us fell to the ground. I am going to act in faith regardless of how I feel,” Elise said before she started crawling out of the bushes. She stood to her feet.
