HOW TO HAVE FULLNESS OF JOY AND HAPPINESS IN JESUS

{A Revelation of Who Jesus Is (He Only is Eternal Life and Joy)}

This article will show how Jesus Christ is God the Son, and He is Life and Joy. Having fullness of joy is having one’s focus and love on Jesus and not on idols. Getting rid of idols and walking in intimate fellowship with God is by following the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:4) and seeking to have a deep, intimate relationship with Abba Father God (Romans 8:15 and 1 John 1) and Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son. Single-mindedness toward Jesus casts out darkness and brings in light (Matthew 6:22).

None of this is performing for God’s love and blessings (Romans 4). It is simply resting, and seeking and desiring to know God intimately, and following the Holy Spirit. All of God’s blessings, friendship with God, and promises are freely given to us believers (Romans 8:32). Meditating on who God is and thirsting after God brings satisfaction and joy, as Psalm 63 says.

We will give bullet points with Bible verses, below. Part 2 in this article speaks of how to walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit and not perform or do works to try to earn things. All we need in God is freely given to us believers. Following the Holy Spirit mortifies (puts to death) the flesh, and blesses us, and furthers God’s Kingdom on earth.

Isaiah 26:3 and God's Peace or Shalom -- The Meaning of Shalom

Isaiah 26:3-4 

"[3] Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
[4] Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:"

The Hebrew word for peace in Isaiah 26:3 is shalom (Strong's #7965).
According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, shalom means: 

"well, favor, ... good health, perfect,

Or shalom {shaw-lome'}; from shalam; safe, i.e. (figuratively) well, happy, friendly; also (abstractly) welfare, i.e. Health, prosperity, peace ... rest, safe(-ty), ..., welfare, ... wholly."


According to Webster's 1828 dictionary, welfare means: "1. ... the enjoyment of health and the common blessings of life ; prosperity ; happiness ; ..." (Webster)

God wants us to experience an abundant life in the spiritual realm, most importantly. Then, God desires us to also have emotional peace and blessings in close fellowship (koinónia) with Him, primarily, and then with people (i.e. believers). Finally, God desires us to have physical blessings, which would be used unselfishly for His glory and His Kingdom. 

God is not going to lavish on His children physical riches when they need spiritual riches. From the scriptures, we see that physical riches come when the person is ready, and when they are used unselfishly for God's glory.

Chashaq (khaw-shak') in Deuteronomy 7:7

Deuteronomy 7:7-8 -- "[7] The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye [were] the fewest of all people: [8] But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt." 

➽ The word for love in Deuteronomy 7:7 is chashaq (Strong's #2836) in Hebrew. Brown-Driver-Briggs defines chashaq as: "... verb be attached to, love (... press together, desire ...)"

➽ NAS Exhaustive Concordance defines chashaq as: "...have a desire (1), ... , longs (1), loved (1), pleased* (2), set his affection (1), set his love (1)."

The word love is aheb (aw-hab') in Hebrew. According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, the Hebrew word aheb (Strong’s #157) includes "... beloved like, friend ... to have affection for ..." in its definition.

Psalm 36:7 -- “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.”

The word lovingkindness is checed (kheh'-sed) in Hebrew. According to NAS Exhaustive Concordance, the Hebrew word checed (Strong’s #2617) includes lovingkindness, lovingkindnesses, unchanging love, devotion, favor, kindnesses, deeds of devotion, mercies, loyalty, and goodness in its definition. (Strong's Exhaustive Concordance includes pity as well.)

Many People Have a Wrong View of God Being Harsh or Distant When He Is Gracious, Kind, and Compassionate

There are many people (including Christians) who view God the Father as a very harsh, strict, or aloof God. But, these beliefs are not biblical because God is perfect Love (1 John 4:16). And, Abba God is gracious, longsuffering (patiently enduring), and gentle in dealing with His children, as a loving Father.

Psalm 86:5 says: "For thou, LORD, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee."

Exodus 34:6 says: "And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,"

Isaiah 41:10 says: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Some Christians (like I used to struggle with) struggle with feeling that they have to perform for God's love and acceptance or perform to receive God's blessings in their lives. If they fail to do something they believe God wanted them to do, they might feel upset with themselves. If we do wrong, we need to genuinely repent, and then rest and receive God's forgiveness. Along with that, we need to forgive ourselves and seek to know God as our loving Abba Father, which is who He is.

1 John 1 is a very good chapter to read and meditate on. Here is a portion of it, below.
