1. Introduction
There
are some important things that the
devil (Satan), who is your enemy, doesn’t want you to know about Heaven (or the
third Heaven, the paradise of God). Many people have listened to the devil’s
lies instead of God’s Holy Word (the Bible). The Holy Bible describes the
beauty of Heaven and tells us who can enter Heaven, and who cannot. The Word of
God reveals to us truth that gives us the ability to experience a taste of
Heaven while still living here on earth.
In
this article, we will see who can live in Heaven, and who cannot. We will see
what Heaven is like, and what it is not like. One thing we know for sure,
Heaven is not like earth. It is perfect, sinless, holy, and perfectly
beautiful. (See Isaiah 35:10, Revelation 21:4, and Rev. 21:27 ). There is no
sickness, disease, sorrow, pain, or death in Heaven. All is peace, joy,
happiness, and rest. Pain is gone. Misery is gone. Boredom is gone. All that is
of the earth is gone. Only the basic personality of a believer remains
essentially the same, but the believer has been transformed to look like an
angel of God (See Luke 20:34-36).
Like
the angels, a Christian in Heaven will live forever, will never die, and will
be able to worship and praise God in His glory and beauty. A Christian in
Heaven will see God’s face and enjoy God’s intimate fellowship in a deeper way
than he or she can on planet earth. But, even on planet earth, we can
experience deep fellowship, and friendship, and closeness with Abba Father God
through Jesus Christ. And, that is what Abba Father God desires, as scripture
verses such as Deuteronomy 33:3, Jeremiah 31:3, Psalm 16:11, 1 Corinthians 1:9,
1 John 1:3-7, John 17, John 14, John 15, and so on declare.
1
CORINTHIANS 1:9
“9.
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus
Christ our Lord.” [emphasis added] [end quote]
LUKE
20:34-36
“34.
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are
given in marriage : 35. but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that
world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in
marriage : 36. neither can they die any more : for they are
equal unto the angels ; and are the children of God, being the children of the
resurrection.” [emphasis added] [end quote]

2. Why Heaven Is Only For Certain People
Heaven
is a beautiful place located in a different dimension far from the earth. It is
full of joy, peace, harmony, and happiness far beyond anything most people
experience on this earth, in this dimension in which we live. There is no
sickness, pain, suffering, or sadness in Heaven because Heaven is perfect and
without any sin or imperfection.
But,
only certain people can live there, and only some can even enter through the
gates to Heaven. Heaven is perfect, and so sin cannot enter Heaven. If you took
a piece of decaying meat and placed it beside barbecued meat and left them
together for a while, the good meat would eventually become rotten. Or, if you
took a rotten apple and placed it beside good apples, the good apples would
eventually become rotten too.
The
apostle Paul wrote in GALATIANS 5:7-9 these
profound words: “7. Ye did run well ; who did hinder you that ye should not
obey the truth ? 8. This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9. A
little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.” [end quote].
The
yeast, or leaven, causes the whole lump of dough to be leavened. Sin entering
into Heaven would corrupt all of it. That is why the Lord Jesus said through
His apostle John, in REVELATION 21:7, these
words: “7. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie : but they which are
written in the Lamb’s book of life.” [end quote]. Nothing that is morally or
spiritually diseased can enter Heaven.
A
morally or spiritually diseased person would corrupt all of Heaven if they were
permitted to enter it. When European explorers reached the Americas, they
inadvertently released European diseases into the pristine atmosphere of North
and South America. Prior to the explorers’ arrival on the shores of the
Americas, the two continents apparently didn’t have many highly-destructive
diseases. This release of viruses and other pathogens (germs) caused millions
of indigenous people, who were not immune to the diseases, to die off over the
next few centuries following the first European explorers.
The
inhabitants of the Americas were very pagan people and many thousands of
indigenous peoples were murdered during human-sacrifice rituals in Aztec and
Mayan temples. But, the example of their death by plagues (or pathogenic
invasions) shows how an environment that is free of deadly viruses is
vulnerable to corruption.
Heaven
is perfect and sinless, but sin would corrupt its beauty and spread through it
like poison in a glass of water. So, the loving and Holy Father God cannot let
any sin enter through the gates of Heaven.

3. Who Can Be in Heaven
So,
who, then, can enter into Heaven? Only a sinless person, or a person who has
had his or her sins fully removed, and who has a heart that is pure and holy,
can enter and remain in Heaven. The heart has to be perfect or pure to enter
Heaven and see the Father God, as Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure
in heart : for they shall see God.” [end quote]. Doing works cannot make a
heart pure. Giving to the poor, praying long prayers, doing acts of
benevolence, or fasting from food and water cannot make the heart pure.
3.1.
The Pure in Heart See God.
Only
a man or woman whose heart is pure can see God. But, the Bible shows how to
have a pure heart. Jesus Christ told Nicodemus these powerful and profound
words in the Gospel of John, chapter 3...
JOHN
3:3-5
“3.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man
be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4. Nicodemus saith unto him,
How can a man be born when he is old ? can he enter the second time into his
mother’s womb, and be born ?
5.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” [end quote]
So,
how is one born of the Spirit of God? Jesus Christ answered that question in
the same chapter of the Gospel of John.
JOHN
3:14-17 (emphasis added)
"14.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son
of man be lifted up : 15. that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life. 16. For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world ; but that the world through him might be saved." [end
quote]
Jesus
Christ is God the Son, the Only Begotten Son of God. He is One with God the
Father. Jesus Christ is sinless and perfect, for He is God, and He always was
God, as John chapter 1 says.
JOHN
1:1-4
“1.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made by him ; and
without him was not any thing made that was made. 4. In him was life ; and the
life was the light of men.”
JOHN
1:14-17
“14.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth. 15. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I
spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me ; for he was before me.
16. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17. For the
law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."
[end quote]
3.2.
The Propitiation (i.e. atoning sacrifice) for Our Sins Is Jesus Christ.
Jesus
Christ is the Word. He is the incarnation of God into a human body. He lived a
sinless life, and died on a cross to take all the sins of the human race upon
Himself, and He rose from the dead three days later to give all who call on His Name eternal life. The
first epistle of John, chapter 2, says…
1
John 2:1-2
"1.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any
man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous : 2.
and he is the propitiation for our sins : and not for ours only, but also for
the sins of the whole world." [end quote]
Propitiation
is an atoning sacrifice. It is a payment for a crime or an offense. Jesus
Christ’s death on a Roman cross, about 2,000 years ago, was the payment for our
sins (which are offenses against God’s Word). If you believe on the name of
Jesus Christ and ask Him to be your Savior and Lord, trusting only in His
atoning sacrifice to pay for your sins, and trusting only His power to make you
perfect, you are saved and born-again. You are then a child of God.
Your
heart is pure because you are given a new heart, as Ezekiel 36 says.
Ezekiel 36:25-27
“25.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean : from all
your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26. A new heart
also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you : and I will take
away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes,
and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” [end quote]
The
Holy Spirit leads a believer in obeying God’s Ten Commandments and in walking
in agreement with them. Paul in ROMANS 8:14-15 wrote: “14. For as many
as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15. For ye have not
received the spirit of bondage again to fear ; but ye have received the Spirit
of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." [end quote]
3.3.
Walking by Love Is Fulfilling the Law.
In
Romans 13:8, Paul wrote:
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another : for he that
loveth
another hath fulfilled the law.” [end quote]. Walking by the leading of the
Holy Spirit results in being motivated by pure and unselfish love.
An
example of this unselfish love can be seen in Ananias, who prayed for Saul, a
persecutor of early Christians. Saul (who later was called Paul) was a great
persecutor of the Church. The Bible says, in Acts 8:3, that he arrested
Christians and placed them in prison. But, as he was heading toward Damascus to
arrest more Christians, a blinding light struck him. Falling to the ground,
Saul saw a glorious vision. The Lord Jesus appeared to him through bright,
blinding light, and said these words…
ACTS
9:3-4
“3.
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus : and suddenly there shined round
about him a light from heaven : 4. and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice
saying unto him, Saul,
Saul,
why persecutest thou me ?” [end quote]
Jesus
told Saul, in Acts 9:6, to go into Damascus and it would be told Saul what to
do. When the vision vanished, Saul could not see. He was blind.
He
entered the city, with the help of a guide, and remained at someone’s house,
totally blind. Then, Ananias, a believer in Jesus Christ, heard from God to go
and placed his hands on Saul so that he might receive his sight. Ananias was
hesitant at first, due to fear that he might be arrested, but when he heard
that Saul would be a chosen vessel of God to bear Jesus Christ’s Name to the
Gentiles, he went. He obeyed God because he loved God and he had a heart of
love and compassion for Saul, who later would become Paul, an apostle. Love
motivated Ananias to release God’s healing power on Saul.

4. How Heaven Is Beautiful, and How You Can
Enjoy That Beauty Here on Earth Too
Walking
in love is beautiful and full of joy and peace. That is what God the Father
desires for all people. He desires that we have fellowship with Him through
Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God. As we fellowship with Abba Father
God, and see who He really is through the lens of Jesus Christ, who reveals God
the Father, we have joy, and peace, and happiness, and rest.
Something
that is pretty to the sight, like a waterfall and a field of flowers, cannot be
truly delightful if we are lonely and depressed inside. Only by having a deep,
friendly, very intimate (meaning close and personal) relationship with God the
Father, who is a Spirit, can we truly enjoy the beauty of His creation on
earth, and then the beauty of Heaven.
The
Father God is full of unmerited, compassionate, affectionate, benevolent love
(agape), and He Himself is Love, as 1 JOHN 4:16 says. “16. And we have
known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love ;
and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” [emphasis added]
[end quote]. This wonderful Being, who is Love, has a Presence in the heart of
a believer that gives that believer fullness of joy, as Psalm 16:11 says.
PSALM
16:11
“[11.]
Thou wilt show me the path of life : in thy presence is fulness of joy ; at thy
right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” [end quote]
That
fullness of joy starts here on earth because God’s presence is in the form of
the Holy Spirit, who dwells in the heart of a believer. Jesus Christ told his
followers these words in the Gospel of John, chapter 14…
JOHN
14:16-17
“16.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that he may abide with you for ever ; 17. even the Spirit of truth ;
whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him :
but ye know him ; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
[emphasis added] [end quote]
Since
God’s Presence is in the believer’s heart, by His Holy Spirit (called the
Comforter), God the Father gives a believer, who rests in Him, fullness of joy.
Believers don’t always feel God’s fullness of joy, but when they rest in Him
and trust in Him, they experience His peace, joy, and love. This is
Heaven in a believer’s heart which we can experience prior to entering the eternal
joy of the third Heaven.
(Note:
There are at least three different heavens according to 2 Corinthians 12:2.
Each heaven is separated from the next heaven by gateways. The realm of demons
is in the second heaven. The realm of the holy Heaven is in the third heaven.
Saints live with God in the third heaven and experience its matchless beauty.
We experience the first heaven in our physical bodies.)

5. Who Will Not Be in Heaven
While
Heaven is beautiful and perfect and holy, Hell is a place of sin, misery, and
torment. Those who live in sin, and who will never turn to Jesus Christ and
live by His Word and in fellowship with Him will be in Hell. They will not
enter Heaven, for no one who makes a lie can enter Heaven (See Revelation
21:27). 1 John 1:6 says how those who walk in the darkness of sin, and say
they are Christians (i.e. have fellowship with God) are actually lying. So,
they are making a lie.
5.1.
Having Fellowship with God Versus Living in a Lie
1
JOHN 1:4-7
"4.
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5. This then is
the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is
light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6. If we say that we have
fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth :
7. but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all
sin." [emphasis added] [end quote]
Revelation 21:27
says
this of Heaven and the New Jerusalem city: “27. And there shall in no wise
enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh a lie : but they which are written in the Lamb’s
book of life.” [emphasis added] [end quote]
Someone
claiming to be a Christian, who walks in sin, is lying, and he or she would not
enter Heaven in such a condition until he or she repents. But, if such a person
doesn’t repent, he or she would not be able to enter Heaven, since Heaven is
holy, and sin cannot enter Heaven. Some Christians teach that once you are
saved from sin, you will never be able to forsake Jesus Christ. But, the truth
is found in Revelation 21:7-8.
5.2.
Those Who Cannot Enter Heaven
Revelation 21:7-8
“7.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things ; and I will be his God, and he
shall be my son.
8.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone :
which is the second death.” [end quote]
People
who overcome sin are contrasted with people who don’t overcome sin. Those
sinners fit into the following categories:
1.
fearful (i.e. those who follow fear instead of God);
2.
unbelieving (i.e. those who do not hold to God’s Word, but who, instead, hold
to the ‘self’ and human reasoning);
3.
abominable (i.e. those who do evil);
4.
murderers (i.e. those who are bitter, hateful, and murderous people; gossipers;
and people who are full of strife);
5.
whoremongers (i.e. adulterers and licentious, perverted, and immoral people);
6.
sorcerers (those who are fascinated with the “dark arts,” magic, and the
occult);
7.
idolaters (anyone who puts someone or something before God); and …
8.
liars (those who believe and tell lies that they know are lies).
If
a Christian hardens his heart against God so much that he does not ever repent,
he will fit in this list, and will not inherit the kingdom of God, but will
inherit Hell, and the lake of fire.
REVELATION
21:7
says: “He that overcometh shall inherit all things ; and I will be his God, and
he shall be my son.” [end quote]. Only those who overcome the sins mentioned in
the above list from Revelation 21:8 will be sons of God, and only they shall
inherit all the things God wants to give His Church, which is the bride of
Christ.
5.3.
The Book of Life
REVELATION
21:5-6
“5.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment ; and I
will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his
name before my Father, and before his angels. 6. He that hath an ear, let him
hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” [end quote]
Verse
5 is speaking of those who overcome sin, and who reject it by following Christ,
will not be removed from the book of life. Those who either (1.) have their
names removed (i.e. blotted out) from the book of life, or (2.) who never had
their names in the book of life, to begin with, will be cast into the lake of
fire, according to Revelation 20:14-15.
Revelation 20:14-15
"14.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire." [emphasis added] [end quote]
___________________________
6. What Heaven Is, and What Heaven Is Not
Heaven
is a place of beauty and glory far beyond what people can fully comprehend.
There is no sickness, death, pain, or sin in Heaven. There are rivers, such as
the river that proceeds from God’s throne; trees, such as the tree of life; and
a city, the New Jerusalem, which is of enormous proportions.
6.1.
The Beauty of Heaven
REVELATION
22:1-2
“1.
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding
out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2. In the midst of the street of it,
and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve
manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month : and the leaves of the
tree were for the healing of the nations.” [end quote]
The
curse of problems, sin, disease, pain, and death are gone completely in the
third Heaven. Up in Heaven, God’s children (those who believe on the Name of
Jesus) see the glorious face of the loving Father God. There is never going to
be night or darkness in the place where God’s throne is because God gives
supernatural light.
REVELATION
22:3-5
“3.
And there shall be no more curse : but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall
be in it ; and his servants shall serve him : 4. and they shall see his face ;
and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5. And there shall be no night there
; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun ; for the Lord God giveth
them light : and they shall reign for ever and ever.” [end quote]
Sorrow
and sighing shall flee away, as Isaiah 35:10 says. The ransomed Church of God
shall have everlasting joy. And, they will be full of joy and gladness.
ISAIAH
35:10
"10.
and the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with
songs
and everlasting joy upon their heads : they shall obtain joy
and
gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." [end quote]
6.2.
What Heaven Is Not
While
Heaven is a place of beauty, joy, peace, and happiness, it is not what some
people want to imagine. Heaven is not a place for selfish living, sin, or
carnality. It is a place of righteousness and holiness. Christians who live in
sin, and who will not repent, cannot enter Heaven. Only those who repent from
sin and who choose to walk in fellowship and agreement with God can enter
Heaven. The first epistle of John, chapter 1, (or 1 John 1) says these words
about walking with God and forsaking sin…
1
JOHN 1:5-9
“5.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,
that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6. If we say that
we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth
: 7. but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin. 8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
[end quote]
1
John 2 gives further instruction about walking with God, and it teaches the
truth that a person who doesn’t obey God’s moral and spiritual laws (the Ten
Commandments) does not have the truth in him. As we saw earlier, walking
with God involves confessing sin, and choosing to forsake it. It is fellowship,
and agreement, and harmony with God the Father and His ways.
1
JOHN 2:3-5
“3.
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4. He
that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the
truth is not in him. 5. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the
love of God perfected : hereby know we that we are in him. 6. He that saith he
abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” [end quote]
The
one who doesn’t have the truth in him (See verse 4) is one who doesn’t have
Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life. In John 14:6, Jesus Christ said… “6.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life : no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.” [end quote].
Without
Jesus Christ, we cannot come to the Father God. So, without the truth being in
us, we are lost and bound for Hell. Not everyone can enter Heaven. And, only
those who walk uprightly, and who trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation,
can enter and live forever in Heaven.
6.3.
The Way to Heaven
Buddhists,
Muslims, Hindus, and most Catholics don’t believe that Jesus Christ and
His sacrifice is the only way of salvation, and that only by trusting in the
sacrificial atonement of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is one saved from
sin and given Heaven. But, that is what the Bible teaches. Paul’s epistle to
the Romans says this wonderful truth, in chapter 4...
ROMANS
4:4-7
"4.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness.
6. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God
imputeth righteousness without works, 7. saying, Blessed are they whose
iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered." [end quote]
In
Romans 5, Paul explains how “… while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
And, he shows how we are justified by the blood of Jesus Christ, and by our
faith in Jesus Christ, and not at all by our “good” deeds.
ROMANS
5:7-10
“7.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die : yet peradventure for a good man
some would even dare to die. 8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were
yet
sinners, Christ died for us. 9. Much more then, being now justified by his
blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10. For if, when we were
enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son ; much more,
being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” [emphasis added] [end quote]
6.4.
The Meanings of Justified and Reconciled
The
English word “justified” (in
Romans 5:9) is the Greek word (Strong’s #1344) dikaioo. It
means: “… to render (i.e. show or regard as) just or innocent….” [end quote].
According to Webster’s 1828 dictionary, “justify” means: “1. To prove or
show to be just, or conformable to law, right, justice, propriety or duty ; to
defend or maintain ; to vindicate as right. …” (To vindicate means to defend or
justify.)
A
believer in Jesus Christ (who loves Him) is made just or innocent through the
blood of Jesus Christ alone, and not by
his own good deeds.
The
English word “reconciled” (in Romans
5:10) is the Greek word (Strong’s #2644) katallasso. It means: “…
to compound a difference: … reconcile.” [end quote]. According to Webster’s
1828 dictionary, “reconcile” means: “1. … to call back into union and
friendship the affections which have been alienated ; to restore to friendship
or favor after estrangement ; …. 3. To make consistent or congruous ; to bring
to agreement or suitableness ; ….” [end quote]
God
has reconciled or restored us believers, who follow Jesus, to friendship,
favor, and agreement with Himself.
People
who try to justify themselves through their own works are not innocent or holy
because only Jesus Christ can make us holy and pure through His blood. These
self-righteous people cannot enter Heaven because they have rejected Jesus
Christ by their choice to trust their own works instead of Jesus Christ only
for salvation and righteousness.
___________________________
7. Conclusion
We
have looked at who can be in Heaven, and who cannot enter Heaven. We have seen
that doing good works will never bring a person to Heaven, for all our works of
righteousness are filthy rags, in God’s eyes. ISAIAH 64:6 says: “6. But
we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags
; and we all do fade as a leaf ; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken
us away.” [end quote].
Only
by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ and walking in fellowship with Him can
a person enter Heaven. Doing works to earn Heaven or living in sin and
rebellion against God will prevent a person from entering Heaven as Ephesians
5:3-6 says.
Ephesians 5:3-6
“3.
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named
among you, as becometh saints ; 4. neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor
jesting, which are not
convenient
: but rather giving of thanks. 5. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor
unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in
the
kingdom
of Christ and of God. 6. Let no man deceive you with vain words : for because
of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”
[end quote]
As
the Bible teaches, those who commit these sins shall not inherit God’s kingdom
(which is eternal life in Heaven):
Fornication
(immorality,
adultery, lusting after people);
Uncleanness
(anything
that is sinful);
Covetousness
(making
things into a god);
Filthiness
(wickedness);
Foolish
talking (speaking
evil, cursing people, slander, gossip, blaspheming God’s Name, and filthy
language);
Jesting
(crude
joking, hurtful joking, or immoral language);
Being
a “covetous man, who is an idolater” (loving things more than God and wanting what
others have);
Being
a whoremonger (committing
fornication, immorality, adultery, wicked deeds of lust, having lustful eyes)
God
is Holy, and Heaven (the third heaven) is holy too. No sin enters Heaven (See
Revelation 21:7-8). Only those who have been justified and cleansed from sin by
Jesus Christ’s blood can enter Heaven (See Romans 5). And, only those who love
Jesus and who obey Jesus can enter Heaven (See 1 John 2:3-5).
Heaven
is not a place for selfish, self-centered living. It is not a place for rock
music, sexual immorality, video games, entertainment (worldly), gluttony,
pride, slander, gossip, malicious intent, fornication, hatred, backbiting
(speaking evil of people behind their backs), or sin of any kind. It is a place
to enjoy perfect fellowship with Abba Father God, to worship Him, and to walk
with God in pure joy, peace, and happiness. It is a place to experience the
glory, beauty, and wonders of Heaven, God’s holy place. It is a place for
freedom from the effects of sin and freedom from the bondage of sin. There is
no sadness, sorrow, pain, fear, or sin in Heaven. It is full of beauty and
glory.
Turn
to Jesus Christ today and receive Him as your personal Savior and Lord. Trust
only in His blood that He shed on Calvary about 2,000 years ago to save you.
Call on Him today and ask Him to save you from sin through His blood, and make
him your Savior and Lord. Be willing to repent from sin He convicts you about.
And, rest in His loving arms. God will bless you as you do. Amen.
